Antiques, elegance, history - the beautiful home has a colorful history, one that is shared with its privileged guests that seek to enjoy a romantic getaway that is very unique and different. This private couple's retreat is located on a brick-lined street laid in 1907 and situated in the National Historic District of Hinton, a quaint, small-town village located in southern West Virginia and overlooking the beautiful New River.

 

 

It's a chance to step back in time . . . in a home that looks much the way it did when built in 1915. Romantic and private, couples enjoy their stay at Historic Hinton Manor, a home full of rich, colorful history and located right in the heart of the historic district of Hinton, West Virginiaf you are seeking the small town atmosphere, full of architectural gems and away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city, then you will enjoy a visit to this historic town, situated at the foot of the beautiful West Virginia mountains and overlooking the scenic New River.

The home offers an elegant and fully furnished setting. Interior woodwork imported from the Black Forest of Germany.
Everything is provided including full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave.
All pots/pans/dishes/utensils.  Linens and towels provided.
Bath with shower and tub, washer/dryer, formal dining room, formal living room
Elegant bedrooms. Library filled with antique book collection!

Historic Hinton Manor Vacation Home is a no pet, non-smoking facility
and has a 2-person limit.

There are many attractions in Hinton and Summers County, West Virginia, including the Hinton Railroad Museum, The Veterans Memorial Museum of Southern West Virginia, the magnificent Sandstone Falls (where Lassie movie was filmed), the John Henry monument and rail tunnel (no, he is NOT a myth!), beautiful mountains and sparkling rivers (New River, Bluestone, and Greenbrier).


 

Where is
Hinton, West Virginia?

Hinton is located in the southern part of West Virginia in Summers County and is only 8 miles from Interstate 64, exit 139, conveniently located between Beckley and Princeton, WV. You can also reach Hinton via I-77, taking exit 14 and following Rt. 20 North.

 

Hinton is 22 miles from Winterplace Ski Resort, 8 miles to Pipestem Resort and 4 miles to Bluestone State Park. Historic Lewisburg and the Greenbrier Resort (a 5 diamond resort and casino) are just a short drive away for a perfect day trip. Summers County is a great place to visit and enjoy your vacation to southern West Virginia. 

The beautiful New River Gorge area may be viewed from several overlooks and vistas as you drive through Hinton and along Rt. 20. The New River Parkway begins in Hinton.

 

Amtrak service is available in Hinton. Pipestem Resort and Bluestone State Park are within Summers County and Winterplace Ski Resort is just 22 miles away! The Greenbrier Resort is a wonderful and easy day trip, as is the New River Gorge Bridge, an engineering marvel!
